William Wenthe, writer and teacher, was born and raised in New Jersey, and has lived in Manhattan, Virginia, and West Texas: places that appear in his poems and the occasional short prose piece.  The most recent of his five books of poems is The Gentle Art: Poems, released in August 2023 by LSU Press; the first is Birds of Hoboken (Orchises Press, 1995).  a complete list of publications, awards, teaching experience, see the CV link.
